Tangerine Essential Oil is fresh, sweet, citrusy and is similar to the brighter aroma of tangerine peels (as compared to orange peels), but has a more concentrated, intense aroma.

 

Tangerine Oil is a beautifully fragrant oil which is often overlooked, but is rich in therapeutic properties for the mind, body and skin, making it a very useful oil in aromatherapy that can easily add live and vigour and sophisticated twists to blends.

 

Tangerine is extracted by cold pressed expression of the fruit and the peel of the Tangerine Tree, when the fruit is nearly ripe. The Tangerine tree originated from China, but is now commonly grown throughout the world, most notably in Brazil, the USA and Mediterranean regions.

Precautions - As with all essential oils, we do not recommend usage during pregnancy. There are conflicting reports as to whether Tangerine Oil is phototoxic. It may be prudent to treat Tangerine Essential Oil as phototoxic oil.
