Cape Town: birthday home of Philosophia Botanica
10 years ago, pregnant with my first child, I moved to Cape Town to follow my South African husband. From hiking and climbing to birdwatching and stargazing, being home to iconic mountain ranges, stunning natural wonders, thrilling landscapes and ocean vistas, Cape Town stole my heart! And so the first seeds where planted and Philosophia Botanica officially launched at Professional Beauty in 2013.

For over 10 years, at Philosophia Botanica, we have believed and still ever so strongly believe, that beauty and wellness are rooted in our relationship with nature. We meticulously harvest and craft our products and skincare lines, capturing the properties of key botanicals such as calendula, rose, and chamomile.
We always take care to put more back into the earth than we take out of it, ensuring that our products are not only effective but also sustainable.
Our brand prides itself on our use of biodynamic farming methods to produce high-quality skincare products that are gentle on the skin and the environment. We meticulously harvest and craft our skincare line, capturing the properties of key botanicals such as rosehip, geranium, shizandra, buckthorn and raspberry to mention a few.
