Traditionally it is a technique used in traditional Chinese Medicine in which a tool, usually made from Jade ( or Rose Quartz, or a Bian stone) is scraped across the skin to redirect energy flow, in order to reduce inflammation, increase blood flow and stimulate the lymphatic system to promote healing in the body.

Face Gua Sha on the contrary helps to decongest the skin and improves blood flow and circulation, as well as assisting in clearing sinus congestion, prevent acne, dark skin pigmentation and puffiness or dark circles under the eyes.

Bian was first found in ancient China as one the first medical application tools and is said to be the ‘Ancestor of Gua Sha’. Bian stone contains more than 40 trace elements and minerals, over half of these trace elements and minerals are said to have anti-aging properties.

HOW TO USE:

​

• Using gentle pressure, begin massaging from the neck upwards and from the center of the face move outwards towards the mandible, the cheeks, under the eyes, and on the forehead. Use 10-15 minutes daily

• To help our bespoke Gua Sha stones glide across the skin with ease, smooth a few drops on clean skin with one of our facial oils
